Workshops + Happenings
Alignment Lab I is a technical breakdown of Sun Salutations and foundational standing postures.
In this workshop, we will move slowly and deliberately through the key poses found in vinyasa, ashtanga and slow flow classes including lunges, warriors, forward folds, plank, chatturanga, upward dog and downward dog, analyzing them through the lens of skeletal structure and joint mechanics.
You will learn:
• How to stack joints for efficiency and safety
• What neutral spine actually means in practice
• How hips, knees, and ankles should track in standing work
• Proper shoulder positioning in plank and chaturanga
• Where common alignment mistakes happen, and how to fix them, and how to modify safely for your own practice.
This is not a flow class. It is a structured, teacher-training-level breakdown designed to help you understand exactly what your body is doing in each pose.
You will leave knowing how to set up Sun Salutations and standing postures with precision and confidence, instead of guessing.
Ideal for students who want to refine their foundation, prevent injury, or deepen their understanding of yoga mechanics.
Yoga Alignment Lab II: Load, Stability & Safe Range
Alignment Lab II builds on the foundation from Lab I and focuses on balancing postures and stability under load. In this session, we break down standing balance poses and single-leg work, examining how the body creates stability, manages range of motion, and maintains joint integrity.
We will cover:
• Foot stability and tripod awareness
• Hip stabilization in single-leg standing
• Pelvic control in balancing shapes
• Shoulder stability in balancing transitions
• How to safely explore depth without collapsing into joints
You’ll learn how to build strength before adding range, how to correct wobbling at its source, and how to modify intelligently without losing structure.
This workshop helps bridge the gap between “holding the pose” and truly owning it with control and precision.
Recommended for students who have completed Alignment Lab I or who are comfortable with foundational standing work and want to improve balance, stability, and technical skill.
